# Kona's Moons
Kona's moons are associated with several different fundamental forces.
### The Motherstar / Vis The Sun is referred to by its title, the Motherstar, or its proper name, Vis. Periodically it can flare, adding new souls to Kona's Cycle.
Spoilers - Motherstar
The Motherstar is a massive amalgam of both conventional physical particles, and metaphysical Soul Particles. When a flare happens, these metaphysical Soul Particles strike Kona, and search for a suitable vessel.
### Impetu Impetu is the moon of the four elements: Water, Earth, Air, Fire. It appears as a constant swirl of red, blue, and brown as if constantly in a storm. Occasionally, one element swells. When this happens, elemental magic associated with that element is enhanced on Kona.
### Motus Motus is the moon associated with human emotion. It appears as a small, red ball orbiting Vis
### Vitamor Is the moon associated with Life and Death. Every night, it alternates between a bright, white reflective surface and a pitch-black shiny surface. It is said that if you die whilst the moon is showing its side of death, you become a ghost.
### Novus
Novus is a new moon, fresh to Kona's sky. Its arrival has challenged many religious philosophies. Since it arrived, the Dance of Starsplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_big# The Dance of Stars
The Dance of Stars is an astronomical event. It used to happen once a month, but since Novus arrived, it has occurred every night. It appears as a series of flashing lights, lines, and bursts in the dark night sky.
Stars has swelled every night.
