Talasso is a shattered fiefdom in the northwest kingdom of Kanara. Of moderate political significance in the political games of Kanara, its chief exports have historically been textiles and fibrous woods. Its biome is rocky beaches and forest.

Within the past 10 years it has been significantly affected by blights, plagues, and famine, leading ultimately to the total collapse of its economy and feudal hierarchy. It is presently a dangerous place to travel, with most of its villages emptied by disease and opportunistic scavengers and criminals camped along its roads.

The late duke and duchesses of this territory, Anatain Mistria and Calla Mistria, are the parents of [[Canda]] and three sons, Fentaine, Albus, and Nikolas. All are assumed deceased, though only Anatain and Calla's death have been officially recorded. And, well, [[Canda]] is clearly alive.
